my 62 strat.

This is a late  80`s Fender `62 reissue Stratocaster, that sounds amazing! Funny how some same-model guitars, from the same period, sound different. I got lucky with this beauty. The pickups were switched to Tex Mex “pups” (pickups) years ago. I have used this guitar often on stage with April Wine over the years.

I gave my daughter Amber the cool looking L.P. style guitar beside the strat.

Yea it`s a bit messy isin`t it, lol but it`s not that bad really only a few long cables intertwined. My pedal configuration can be a mess at times. Where Brian`s very neat. I`m the opposite! Works for me…

    Always run with “what works”.

Your pedal configuration at home…..is it similar to what you use on the road?

No Dave, usually I use a 60 watt Roland cube that has basic effects like delay, reverb, chorus and flanging which is convient and easy to travel with as well. I try to have a wah wah pedal available. I don`t worry about the details of the sound too much, I concentrate more on learning and developing the music. I know how things will sound when I use my “rig”live.
Now that we`re rehearsing new material and preparing to record, I use my old 70`s Marshall head and cabinets. I`m writing some songs with my Vantage 12 string guitar these days and for that purpose it`s important to rehears with the actual sound I wanna record. The effects I use recording are generally better quality than a stomp box. But not always, sometimes an cool sound can only be gotten from a certain pedal. It`s rock and roll and there really are no steadfast rules..use whatever works I say.
    Thanks for the question sir!

The RAT pedal sound was very good on Nature of the Beast!

The Rat sounded great for the solo in Just Between You and Me.
