This might help. It's time consuming though.  Undecided

I couldn't work my laptop without my external keyboard and mouse. The internal keyboard and trackpoint thingie (thats the official name by the way) are too small and fiddly for my fat fingers!!! Cheesy

You sound like my wife!   I have very little patience with computers......and everything else!  For $20 i hooked up a new keyboard and it works fine!  It is a pain however to use.

Go to a computer store and have them clean it. Much easier that way.

Not sure if I want to spend any money on this......I think I will use it on the computer desk with this $20 keyboard.........I should have never let my kids near this considering it cost about $700.......the monitor went out on my other laptop...trying to figure out how to use our 19 inch flat screen for a monitor.

if your handy, and it can't be cleaned, they do sell replacement keyboards on ebay, but it involves some soldering on some models, others are plug and play. I have replaced keboards for friends but it takes time and patience.

I wish I knew of a good PC repair person here in town.....i'm going to ask around....i've had no luck with the big name stores......they send them off anyhow and really don't give a damn about how they come back.
Just my expierence.

The little guy working out of his home is usually more respectful of your computer. Usually you can find these guys by word of mouth, ask your friends and co-workers

I agree.  I think a good PC repairman working out his house could write his own paycheck!
