Richard musical career began in the 70's, playing with several rock groups, and being very much influenced by the prog rock era. You might have seen him touring Quebec and Ontario with several rock bands, the Michael Breen's band, later on in Pierre Falardeau's movie «Le party» and in the Quebec blues/rock scene with Bob Walsh, Jimmy James, Jim Zeller and many others. After a couple of years in the video games industry as a game designer and sound designer, Richard went back to live music, sometimes behind the scene, taking care of many technical aspects of major scale live music productions such as Gregory Charles, the Mondial Choral, Montreal International Jazz Festival and more, or live on stage behind the bass. In 2010 Richard collaborated on bass to the album «One Among The Living» from the cutting edge prog-rock band «Mystery». Perhaps you've also seen him with his well known Yes tribute band «Close To The Edge», who's former lead singer Benoit David joined Yes in 2008, replacing Jon Anderson. Richard was totally honoured and thrilled to accept April Wine's invitation to join the band.
